summary: Hunger Games

     Although Katniss Everdeen is just a teenager, she is the one who brings home the bacon. Her father is dead, and she lives with her mother and her little sister Prim. She hunts animal with a boy named Gale.     Every year the Capitol of Panem hosts an event called the Hunger Games where two "tributes" – a boy and a girl – are drafted from each of the twelve districts to be brought to an arena and fight to the death. Only one person can win, and this is only for entertainment. This year, unfortunately, Katniss's little sister is selected for hunger game. In order to keep her from this cruel game, Katniss volunteers to take her place. Also, Peeta, who is the baker's son, is another tributes.     After the tribute selection process, Katniss and Peeta are going to the Capitol with Haymitch and Effie, which is their support team, to prepare for the Games. During the opening ceremonies, the designers dress in flames which successfully attract the audiences' attention. Now the only thing they need to do is waiting for the game start.

first paragraph: 

There are many organizations regulate the radiation levels in cell phones. Some of them think  that there is no disadvantage for health from cell phones. However, some researches show that using cell phone may cause cancer, make pacemakers doesn't work, decrease ability of having child, harmful for DNA, and dangerous if you using cell phone while you are driving.

second paragraph:

History of the cell phone. The first cell phone was called DynaTAC, a.k.a "the brick". The length is one foot, the weight is two pounds, and it costs $4000 dollars.


third paragraph:

Due to the cell phone was invented, the first safety guidelines for radiation was enacted to make sure that people would not be exposed to the dangerous radiation.


fourth paragraph:

Radio frequency wavelengths are different from sound and water waves. These kind of waves move by electric and magnetic fields, they can run through the solid objects also.


fifth paragraph:

 high end radiation is known to cause cancer, such as X-rays and Gamma rays. However, radiation from cell phone is contained in the low end radiation just higher than radio and TV and is lower than microwave. So the view on cell phones is harmful has yet to be verified

Should People Become Vegetarian?

     I think being vegetarian is good, but not necessary. First of all, meat is the most

convenient protein source available. We can get all the essential nutrients, which like

iron, zinc, and B vitamins, in one serving. If you want the same amounts of the

nutrients, you have to eat a lot of vegetables. Some people becoming a vegetarian is

the best way to improve safety for workers in the meatpacking industry. However, it

has nothing to do with that. The meatpacking industry might be dangerous, but the

way to improve safety is strengthening of workplace safety rules, and increasing the

monitoring of factories for safety violations. Another point is meat is delicious. People

are born to eat meat, we can tell because we have canine teeth, and people can make

meat very tasty. And that's why I don't think people become vegetarian is necessary.

     I strongly agree that social networking sites are good for our society.
First of all, it makes people contact each other more conveniently. For example, my family is in Taiwan, and now I am in America. Through the Internet, I can contact and interact with them immediately.

Reflection of The Video

     

    This video shows that how social medias fulfill our lives. Most things the man
writes on the wall is what we said, what we did on the social medias, or when are we
using the social medias. For example, many people really upload the pictures like the
coffee they are drinking, or themselves in the mirror. And sometimes we complain
everything on our walls, like the man in the video, however, he write things on the wall
literally.


     I really like this video's concept,it shows the phenomenon of nowadays society. And there are many comments below the video. The interesting thing is, some people say they don't do social media things, but in my opinion, this website can be considered as one of social medias; some people also say that they think it's pretty vacuous and can consume people's lives for the worse. I don't agree with that. I think it depends on how we use social medias, if we just sit there and click refresh all the time, that is vacuous. So I think no matter we want it or not, social medias are becoming a part of our lives.

The Alternatie ending of All Summer In a Day

When everyone else are running outside, a little boy come to the in front of the closet secretly.

" Hello?" says Margot. "Is someone out there? Please let me out, I look forward to the sun since I came here."

"That's why I'm here." says the little boy. "They are so mean to you."

"Maybe they think I'm a liar."

"But you are not!"

 "Let's forget about it, we should go outside and enjoy the sunshine."

"Yes, let's go."

As they step outside the door, the sunlight is shinning on their faces.

the little boy has never felt the sunshine before, both of them are so excited.

"It's amazing!" says Jonathan, who is the little boy. "I wish I can stay here forever!"

"That is what I feel in the Earth, I miss there."

"How is the Earth looks like?"

"It's a very beautiful planet, blue sky, beach and many trees!"

"Sounds great, I wish I can go there." says Jonathan. "I'm going to miss you."

"I will miss you too, thanks for your help today."

Suddenly, it's raining again.

All children are running back to the school, including Margot and Jonathan.

"Will it be seven more years?"

"Yes. Seven."

Then one of them gives a little cry.

"At least I have fun today." says Jonathan.

"Yes, me too. Hopefully you can come to Earth next year, we will have a great time."

"Definitely"

"Oh, my mom is here, I should go now. See you tomorrow, thanks for your helping."

"No problem. Have a good night Margot."

"You too, Jonathan."

     Researchers in the Czech Republic unveiled a remotely-controlled bicycle that can hover a few metres above ground for five minutes like helicopter, this bicycle weights 95kg (210lb). During the video we can see this bicycle is carrying a dummy rider and successfully take off, flies around and land.

     This bike is powered by two battery-run propellers on the front, two on the back and one on each side.

     According the article, this machine could help two-wheeled commuters avoid zigzagging through traffic jams. However it's not quite ready to hit the road yet,because the batteries only allow for a few minutes of flight.

    The technical director of this project, Milan Duchek think this problem will be solved in the future. We can expect that in the future the capacity would be enough for the bike to used for sports, tourism or similar things because the capacity of batteries doubles about every 10 years.

     Actually, it's not the first attempt to make a bicycle fly. In 2009, there was an IT teacher, John Carver, constructed a flying tricycle which he called "Flyke" and flew it across the UK, from Lands End to John o'Groats. Mr. Carver's machine is powered by a two-stroke twin propeller motor and is equipped with a parachute always open when the bike is in the air.

     Also, in the early 20th Century, the very first flying machines were bicycles with wings attached to the frame. But they didn't really fly, they just soaring
